White carnations in modern form

Carnations are the subject of many still lifes. Now that the style has fallen into disuse, we needed to be able to offer a painting that would dust off the style: that's what we've done with this painting of very modern flowers. Made using aluminium foil as a base, the canvas is remarkable for its material effects, almost as if it had been frosted.

The effect of the material, combined with a beautiful use of light, produces contrasting metallic greys and whites for a very modern composition.
