Design painting on aluminium canvas

This canvas uses the very contemporary technique of painting on aluminium foil, which has been glued to the stretcher before being worked. It has a very modern feel, with an iridescent, ashy background. This allows the various elements in the painting to stand out. The first is a horizontal line, worked in silver tones, which serves as a support for the golden squares. This line is interrupted twice in the centre of the painting by an arch. The coppery and gold tones with which it is embellished further enrich the composition. This arch is encircled by a very deep red, accentuating its very graphic appearance. Finally, various elements have been glued to the canvas, such as steel washers.
