Why choose a wall-mounted ethanol fireplace?

When we hear about ethanol fireplaces, it's often the wall-mounted models that come to mind. These are models similar to a picture or TV screen mounted on the wall, generally rectangular in shape like our model Novo or SevenFire.

One of the advantages of these models is that they are fixed to the wall, so there is no contact with the floor and this gives a floating design aspect to the room.

How do I install a wall-mounted ethanol fireplace?

Although it requires more tools and a bit of elbow grease than a free-standing fireplace, installing a wall-mounted fireplace is relatively simple thanks to the fixing kit supplied.

The tools you'll need are a spirit level to make sure the installation is straight, a drill to put the wall plugs into the wall and a screwdriver or screwdriver to hold the fixing bars.

The plugs supplied with our wall-mounted fireplaces are designed for concrete walls, so you'll need to buy Mollys plugs if you're fixing to a cavity wall such as plasterboard.

Some of our wall-mounted ethanol fireplaces have a rear casing that can be built into the wall. In this case, you need to create the insert to the right dimensions, ideally in Placoflam®which is more heat resistant than standard plasterboard.

How do you choose a wall-mounted ethanol fireplace?

There are two main criteria to take into account when choosing the ideal ethanol fireplace: power and design. Choosing the power of the ethanol burner for your fireplace will be closely linked to the size of the room in which the fireplace will be installed.

As a general rule, choose 1 kW for 10m2 to achieve a significant temperature gain in the room. Next, it's simply a question of choosing the design for your fixed ethanol fireplace. After all, it's legitimate to want a fireplace that will fit in with your interior decoration.
